TNT Mentoring – Helping Youth Succeed

The mission of TNT Mentoring program is to create and support one-to-one relationships between positive adult role models and youth facing challenges in their personal, social and academic lives.

Who We Serve

As a Mentor with TNT Mentoring program you will serve the students of Ottawa County.

Our program receives nominations from teachers, guidance counselors, principals and even parents. Our students are typically facing some type of challenge that is impacting their success. These challenges could be an illness or death in the family, divorce, a parent incarcerated, difficulty in making friends, moving to a new school, struggling academically or trying to focus on future career plans.

There are currently 300 students in one-on-one mentoring relationships in the Benton-Carroll-Salem Local, Port Clinton City, Danbury Local Schools, Put In Bay, Genoa, and Woodmore. Program coordinators are always looking for mentors to serve the students in those schools.

Our Mentors

Program coordinators are responsible recruiting people in the community who can be a positive, caring role model for students. Often, these are community leaders, former educators, pastors, and parents whose children are raised and out of the home.
All mentors must pass the FBI/CBI Background check.
